About Four Seasons Hotel Mooncakes

During the 8th lunar month each year, the full moon is celebrated by the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival. The festival honours the Moon Goddess of Immortality and is celebrated by moon gazing while indulging in mooncakes and sipping tea.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Singapore is one of the best places to find your celebratory mooncakes for the festival. The mooncake menu at the Four Seasons has been carefully curated to showcase the best flavours and talents of the team at Jiang-Nan Chun, an award-winning, Michelin-starred hotel restaurant.

The Product Selection

Created with only premium ingredients to mirror the celebration of abundance and prosperity, the Four Seasons’ mooncakes are handcrafted by highly skilled chefs. They are then packaged in beautiful and delicate gold embroidered gift boxes, a true symbol of indulgence and decadence. That is what the Mid-Autumn Festival is all about after all.

The Four Seasons have a variety of flavours available in both Snow Skin and Baked Skin form. They are most notably known for their use of natural flavours and for being the most freshly baked mooncakes around.

The Baked Skin Collection

The Four Seasons’ baked collection of mooncakes combines the delicious golden texture of the baked exterior with silky smooth fillings that highlight the natural flavour profiles of each ingredient. Favourites on the baked mooncake menu include their best-seller: A Double Yolk Silver Lotus Paste mooncake.

A definite highlight on the menu is their signature mooncake, a Smoked Duck with Lime and Assorted Nuts. Other favourites on the baked mooncake menu include the most fragrant Osmanthus Oolong Tea Paste mooncake as well as their citrusy delight: A Yuzu and Melon Seed Silver Lotus Paste mooncake.

Silver Lotus Paste is used in many of their recipes as it offers a young and fresh flavour that is also lower in sugar and oil. Perfect for the more health-conscious out there.

The Snow Skin Collection

If you are looking for a beautifully smooth texture and delicious flavours, then the Four Seasons’ snow skin collection of mooncakes are the best place to start. Plus, they are also known to be a healthier option when it comes to mooncakes. These works of art are not just beautiful, but deliciously decadent too! Their Bird’s Nest with Custard Mooncake is an exquisite work of art combining velvety custard and the bird’s nest core.

Another snow skin favourite at the Four Seasons is their Hazelnut Royaltine and Milk Tea mooncake which is a sweet and crunchy blend of fragrant hazelnuts and Jivara chocolate praline. If you love the fruitier mooncakes, then you simply have to try their Mao Shan Wang Durian mooncake that is both satisfying in taste and tradition with the addition of the silver lotus paste.

The Unique Botanical Inspired Box

This is one of the most beautiful gift boxes you can get your hands on for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Picture your mooncakes being encased by an extremely elegant rose gold jewellery box. Inspiration for the box’s design is drawn from floral design motifs from around the restaurant and hotel as well as within the Jiang-Nan Chun interior.

Not to mention the symbolic Four Seasons Hotel Singapore logo stamped upon the box, making it a limited-edition case. This box is an ideal gift for family, friends, and is sure to impress even the most discerning of business associates with its sensible sophistication and class.

Ordering Process

The Four Seasons accept orders via their website, email or by phone call. Pre-orders do open well in advance, so be sure to place your order in good time to avoid disappointment when they get fully booked closer to festival time.
