To work out how many jars of pineapple tarts to buy for CNY visits, calculate the pieces you want to serve, then add any unopened jars reserved for gifts and home use. Keep these quantities separate so the same jar is not counted twice.
How to estimate jars for your guests
Start with the number of guests you expect to serve and choose a planning allowance of pieces per guest. If you are hosting several visits, include each occasion in your calculation. Then use the piece count for the product you intend to buy.
Serving jars = guests × planned pieces per guest ÷ pieces per jar, rounded up to a whole jar. If the calculation is already a whole number, keep it; otherwise round up to the next whole jar.

For 30 guests at five pieces each, the plan is 150 pieces. Six jars of 24 would provide only 144, so round up to seven jars. With 20 pieces per jar, round up to eight.
Add gifts and home use separately
List your gift recipients and decide how many unopened jars you want to give each person. Add those jars to the serving total, along with any jars you want to reserve for your household.
For example, if you choose seven serving jars, one jar for each of five gift recipients and two jars for home use, your total is 14 jars. Those gift and household quantities are your choices; they are not a standard requirement for every visit.
Choose flavours around the recipient’s preferences and check the ingredients and allergens. If presentation matters, check the packaging included with the selected item. A bundle should not be assumed to include a gift box.
Check the product before choosing a bundle
